Chef Corey Fraser grew up in a Culinary/ Restaurant family in the small town of Wakefield PQ, where he learned at an early age that quality food was an essential ingredient to good living. As a child, he watched his mom prepare culinary masterpieces from scratch. His mom was an avid traveler and instilled in Corey the importance of experiencing the many diverse cuisines from around the globe. The kitchen at the Fraser house was always a culinary adventure.
In Corey’s early years he decided to follow in his mom’s footsteps and pursue a career in the culinary world. After graduating from grade school Corey packed his belongings, hopped on a plane and moved to the Canadian Rockies to pursue his passion in creating fresh, organic and seasonal fare.
Since then Corey has worked and opened a number of luxury lodges and operated numerous restaurants throughout BC and Alberta gaining knowledge and experience while working with some of Canada’s top chefs.
In 1998 Corey received his diploma at The Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts and most recently his Red Seal Certification as well as a number of culinary accolades throughout his career thus far.
“I’m a big believer in preparing fresh, local and seasonal foods while using modern cooking techniques. Seeing the excitement in friends, family and guest’s faces when they try my creations makes everything I do all that more enjoyable!” says Chef Corey.
