The Cedar House Chalets operate year round.  

Office hours are from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

From Highway #1

  • From the WEST on Trans-Canada HWY 1: Turn Right at the second “Town of Golden” Sign
  • From the EAST on Trans-Canada HWY 1: Turn Left at the “Town of Golden” Sign
  • Take the Overpass around and MERGE RIGHT onto 10th AVE
  • Continue on 10th AVE over the bridge, through 2 sets of lights and past Overwaitea (Don’t forget to stop for coffee cream and groceries!)
  • 10th AVE now turns into HWY 95 SOUTH (TO RADIUM)
  • Continue on HWY 95 SOUTH for 5KM
  • Turn LEFT onto **ALMBERG RD** (YOU WILL SEE OUR SIGN)
  • Continue up the hill TURN LEFT onto HEFTI RD (YOU WILL SEE OUR SIGN)
  • We are the 3rd DRIVEWAY on your LEFT
  • Stay left for the restaurant, stay right for the Chalet Office

Almberg Road Detour

  • Continue on HWY 95 south for 1km AFTER passing Almberg Rd and PASSING THE CEDAR HOUSE SIGN on your LEFT
  • Turn LEFT on KALLMAN RD (Look for Kallman Cottages and Cedar House Detour sign)
  • Follow Kallman Rd until it ends and turn LEFT onto ALMBERG RD
  • Follow Almberg Rd to HEFTI RD and turn RIGHT ON TO HEFTI RD
  • We are the 3rd DRIVEWAY on your LEFT
  • Stay left for the restaurant, stay right for the Chalet Office
